The Valley Stream Green Hornets have been affiliated with USA Football since 2011. In 2012 we adopted the new "Head's Up Football Program". Heads Up Football is the new standard in football, on and off the field. This standard is achieved each season when the Green Hornets implement USA Football's organizational membership program that focuses on Coaching Education, Concussion Awareness, Equipment Fitting and Heads Up Tackling.
Every season we educate our Coaches, Players and Parents on the "Heads Up Football" program... This is a program offered by USA Football who is making football a safer game to play. Every season each coach must take a test to get certified or re-certified on Head Up Football. They must pass a test given by USA Football in order to become a Green Hornets Coach. They must also go through a strict background check.
We want you to feel safe knowing your kids are being taught by safe and experienced coaches.
